Congratulations to Year 5 pupil Lola House, from Talbot Heath school, who has just completed a 15-peak climb in aid of Forest Holme Hospice, Poole.

The ten-year-old spent her half term holiday conquering the 15th summit to raise money for the Hospice in Poole, which cares for patients and their families, with advanced cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, as well as their. So far Lola’s epic event has raised over £1400.

Lola is the youngest person to have completed the huge challenge of the Welsh 3000’s. Her starting point was climbing Snowdon on the evening of Wednesday 30th May, and camping over night to start at 5am the following day. She successfully completed 21.5 hours of challenging climbing and walking. On accomplishing the challenge Lola said she is sore, with some aches but still ‘buzzing from the experience’ – adding, ‘It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done by far, but with grit and determination I did it. It was all in memory of my grandparents, which kept me strong.’
