Mougins British International School Celebrates 60 Years of Educational Excellence with a Memorable Evening
On Friday, 16 May, Mougins British International School gathered its vibrant community of students, families, alumni, staff, and partners to celebrate an exceptional milestone: 60 years of academic excellence, innovation, and meaningful values.
Founded in 1964, Mougins School has, for six decades, delivered a rich and inclusive international education to students aged 3 to 18. Rooted in the British National Curriculum, the school champions academic rigor while cultivating curiosity, creativity, respect, diversity, and responsibility.

A Celebration of Community, Legacy, and Talent
The evening celebration, held on the school’s lush campus, was a joyful and emotional gathering that beautifully reflected Mougins School’s spirit. The event began with a warm welcome and a live acoustic performance, setting a relaxed and festive atmosphere as guests enjoyed a cocktail reception. The evening continued with a series of moving speeches — including those from Head of School James Wellings, the Mayor, alumni entrepreneurs, and tributes to long-standing staff members who were honoured with medals of service. Guests were then captivated by a dazzling mentalist performance before enjoying a diverse buffet dinner. The celebration also showcased the remarkable talents of Mougins students through musical and vocal performances. As night fell, the community gathered to watch a specially produced anniversary film, projected onto an outdoor screen — a touching tribute to six decades of learning and growth.
