John Catt Educational at the AEM IB Conference

Posted on 28th Oct 2015 in John Catt Publications

Our Editorial Director Jonathan Barnes will be exhibiting at the Africa, Europe and Middle East Conference of the International Baccalaureate in The Hague this week.

Jonathan will be on the John Catt Educational stand in the exhibition hall, where a wide range of our excellent professional development titles will be available to purchase. Jonathan is also happy to discuss the opportunity for schools to take out a profile in the forthcoming IB World Schools Yearbook 2016.

We have a number of titles that are sure to be of interest to the attending IB co-ordinators and Heads, including our best-selling and highly-respected Taking it Forward series, covering the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme. More information on that series can be found at our bookshop, here: http://www.johncattbookshop.com/books/taking-it-fo...

Meanwhile, in What Is Education For: the views of the great thinkers and their relevance today, (http://www.johncattbookshop.com/what-is-education-for-the-views-of-the-great-thinkers-and-their-relevance-today) Dr Nicholas Tate looks at the philosophies of 10 great thinkers from history and explains how their ideas put current education issues into a new perspective, while suggesting additional ones to be addressed.

The aim is to show how engaging with interesting historical minds can both help put current issues in a new perspective and suggest additional ones to be addressed. Nick Tate is a former member of the board governors of the International Baccalaureate.

Do stop by and say hello, if you are lucky enough to be in The Hague this weekend.
