Founded in 1788, RMS for Girls is one of the oldest girls' schools in England. RMS is certainly a school that likes to think differently and, within that approach, seeks to bring out the best in every pupil. The girls at RMS are challenged on a daily basis. They are expected to be committed learners and to be committed to helping others to improve too. In return for this commitment, the staff at RMS will continually support and stretch the RMS pupils and strive to teach them the importance of preparation, effort and self-belief and, in so doing, RMS pupils can be assured of eventually moving into the world beyond RMS with the confidence that they can make a difference.

RMS enjoys a wonderful location within 315 acres of green parkland and yet just 22 minutes by train from central London and only 18 miles from London Heathrow. With pupils from age 2 to 18 years, and welcoming boarding pupils from age 8, the broad and varied curriculum together with a co-curricular programme offering over 100 different activities, ensures there is something for everyone. This enables each and every girl to discover their niche and to thrive. Whilst twenty-first century boarding provides a comfortable, supportive and happy environment for the cosmopolitan boarding community, the integration between day girls and boarders is something that RMS is rather proud of!

Facilities at RMS include a sports centre that also houses a fitness suite, dance studio and squash courts; an indoor heated swimming pool; an Astroturf pitch; a six hole golf course together with multiple tennis and netball courts and cricket pitches. There are separate departments for Art, Textiles and Photography as well as a dedicated Performing Arts Centre that includes a recital suite, a green room and a recording studio!

The decision of where to educate your daughter is an important one; arguably one of the most important decisions you will make on behalf of your child. Learning at RMS inspires pupils to explore what matters to them and to see themselves in futures they may not have imagined. As experts in girls' education, we understand how girls prefer to learn. Pupils at RMS are guided and supported and given the opportunity to expand their horizons. They are encouraged to think critically, creatively and collaboratively. Above all, RMS girls are happy, balanced and will become the best version of themselves.
