At The International School of The Hague (ISH) we provide high quality international education for children ages 4 - 18. Our concept-based inquiry approach to learning is at the centre of everything we do in the classroom and through our extensive co-curricular programmes, engaging students to be curious, connected and compassionate global citizens of the future.

ISH students benefit not only from a well-established IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP), both with consistently excellent results, but also a Careers Related Programme (CP) for students with a more entrepreneurial spirit because we know different career paths demand different approaches. Both of these paths provide an excellent route to university and other journies beyond ISH.

With a uniquely diverse community of over 100 nationalities, we embrace and nurture all home languages, something that enriches the lives of our students and the lives of everyone around them. ISH has a naturally global outlook and students actively engage in the issues that face the planet today. For example, every year our Year 10 to Year 13 students have the opportunity to take part in one of the oldest, and largest, secondary school Model United Nations conferences (MUNISH) in the world, attracting over 1200 students from all around the globe. This amazing opportunity is led by the students of today for the students of tomorrow - a weekend filled with lively debate and policy-making.

Being an international school in the Dutch context means students at ISH also benefit from all the advantages of being situated in The Netherlands. Empowered by a cycling culture and infrastructure unrivalled in the world, children are free from a young age to meet friends, explore the city and take advantage of the impressive array of leisure opportunities available. Furthermore, the schools' location in an area of natural beauty, close to the beach, in the City of Peace and Justice all contribute to children feeling at home in a country that facilitates life for those who don't speak Dutch. Perhaps it's unsurprising that children in The Netherlands are consistently ranked by UNESCO as among the happiest in the world.
