Life is about making choices, and Stamford American International School students can tailor their education to their personal ambition and future plans like no other school in Singapore. As an IB World School, Stamford American offers the IB Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), the IB Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) and the IB Diploma Programme (IB DP). We are also the first and only school in Singapore that offers Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) and Business and Technical Education Council (BTEC) Diploma curricula, together with a US-accredited High School Diploma. These multiple pathways are designed to inspire students to create their own unique future.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, our Early Learning Village has been built as an environment for safe, experiential learning for Early Years children, and welcomes students from 2 months to 6 years.
With over 75 nationalities and over 3000 students, we make a conscious effort to learn more about each student as an individual - their background, interests, hopes and dreams. We seek to empower them with excellent teaching and a warm, supportive learning environment. Stamford American is a special place where 'belonging' defines us, and we commit our all to help each student develop a deep sense of connection and purpose.
But beyond our high academic standards, our students are kind, interested and diligent. We connect their learning to the real world, and they lean into conversations about how they can develop the attributes of the IB learner profile and make a difference in the world.
We are equipped with state-of-the-art classrooms, science labs, quiet study spaces, spacious libraries, gyms, pools, a world-class theater and more, across our two campuses. Our teachers thrive in this well-resourced environment and leverage it to promote active learning for our students. Not only are they professionals who possess deep knowledge of content and pedagogy, but they also know how to build relationships and help students feel safe and valued.
At Stamford American, community matters. We celebrate our students and staff for exhibiting four core values: integrity, ingenuity, courage and compassion. Coupled with a palpable culture of care, Stamford American inspires students to connect deeply to learning, thrive in a diverse community and make their mark on the world. Ultimately, our students move on to success in college, career, and life as learned, thoughtful, courageous individuals and global citizens.
