SEK International School Riyadh opened its doors in September 2021, thereby establishing in the Middle East, the second international school from the prestigious SEK Education Group, which has 130 years of history and experience in national and international education in five countries.

SEK-Riyadh builds on the experience and legacy of our innovative group of schools. SEK Education Group has excelled in providing an outstanding international Education to the local and international communities in Spain, France, Ireland and Qatar, as will the new member of the group - SEK-Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.

We are a community of learners, working together to prepare young people for the challenges of tomorrow through a broad and engaging curriculum, effective use of learning technologies; an individualised programme to cover the educational needs of each student and challenging our students to think critically and independently. Our dedicated International and multicultural team of well trained teachers and support staff are highly motivated and engaged in helping each of our students reach their full potential.

The core of the SEK profile is to prepare our students to be capable of guiding their own futures and to becoming lifelong learners. To demonstrate our commitment towards this ambitious goal, SEK International School Riyadh is a candidate school* for the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and for the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). There are plans to implement the Diploma Programme (DP) in the future. Language of instruction is English with additional languages, including Arabic and Spanish.

SEK-Riyadh has also started the process of International accreditation with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), to ensure we meet demanding international standards of education. NEASC accreditation is a highly valued globally recognized standard of excellence; we will be part of their network of over 2,000 schools, technical and career institutions, colleges and universities in New England and International schools spanning more than 65 countries.
