NIST International School in Bangkok is a not-for-profit full IB World School offering a premium international education. The school is committed to building a community of diverse perspectives and experiences and is reflected in its focus on developing students who are ready and ambitious to positively impact their world at NIST and beyond.

Since 1992, NIST has welcomed thousands of internationally-minded students and their families from around the world. Today, our community comprises students aged 3-18 from more than 75 countries. At NIST, holistic education is inspired by our mission of creating inquisitive, lifelong learners and Global Citizens, empowered by world-class teachers and curriculum, and enriched by an environment where everyone feels they belong.

NIST is governed by a parent-elected NIST International School Foundation and was the first school in Thailand to receive triple accreditation through the Council of International Schools (CIS), New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA).

At NIST, education is more than just an academic programme. While academics are fundamental to the learning experience, we also recognise the importance of wellbeing, activities, service learning and expeditions. These five elements come together to provide a breadth of opportunities for personal, social and cognitive development, helping students to find their interests and reach their full potential.

NIST understands what students gain by playing on a sports team, working with a service group, engaging in a school expedition, participating in a drama production, or looking after their physical and emotional health. These experiences make a lasting and positive impact on the growth of a child.

This is why the NIST Learning Programme has been carefully curated to provide a range of experiences that all work together to deliver a holistic education, every day, from Early Years through to graduation.

Through the experiences that underpin the elements of our Learning Programme, our students develop the skills and dispositions they will need to be successful at NIST and beyond. As a committed IB World School, the NIST Attributes are informed by and align with the IB Learner Profile and Approaches to Learning.

In addition, NIST is a member of an eight school consortium who offer the Global Citizen Diploma (GCD). The GCD provides students with a credential that highlights the qualities of global citizenship, as well as the opportunity to describe their whole education qualitatively through reflection on their learning experiences.

The Global Citizen Diploma (GCD) is a diploma programme designed to complement the rigour of NIST's Learning Programme by recognising a student’s comprehensive educational experience - learning that has taken place inside the classroom, within the larger context of school and in the world beyond.

NIST has a proven track record of fostering reflective, principled learners with a passion for making a difference in the lives of others, with its graduates attending the best universities around the world and going on to become community leaders. NIST has become recognised as one of the world's leading international schools.
