Malvern College Egypt (MCE) is the first British International School to be working in partnership with a leading British Independent School and is unique in having a teaching staff who have exclusively attended British Universities. Although MCE is a rather young school in Egypt, we are able to welcome over 150 years of experience in education from our mother school, Malvern College UK. Our aim is to provide an appropriate and balanced level of academic challenge, which will enable pupils to realize their potential while ensuring that they are happy and motivated.
MCE caters to pupils from pre-nursery to Sixth Form. We offer the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) as well as the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). Additionally, MCE offers a full complement of A-level courses within our sixth form. At MCE we concentrate on four core areas: academic excellence, development of the performing arts, commitment to sports and engagement within our community.
We place great emphasis on ensuring that pupils develop humility and kindness. Our programme of community service projects helps pupils to develop this understanding through a variety of activities. Examples of such activities include visits to charities, bake sales, and donation appeals.
Performing Arts is at the heart of MCE and we provide every pupil with the opportunity to perform in choirs and musical groups. Involvement in sports is also important to us as it offers tremendous opportunities to develop social and leadership skills while promoting fitness and a healthy lifestyle for our pupils. We therefore encourage our pupils to participate in the extensive range of sporting co-curricular activities offered at MCE. We believe in the benefits of competitive sport where we play to win and give our all but we also believe in learning to accept defeat with dignity and respect befitting a Malvern pupil.
