Based in the heart of the leafy Restelo district in Lisbon, l’École Trilingue is a small school where children can be given the individual attention they need. Pupils from 2 to 6 years old can grow, blossom and discover the world in English, French and Portuguese.

Classes are taught in English and French by highly qualified teachers who are native speakers, which ensures that pupils quickly acquire speaking and listening skills in these two languages. This approach is combined with an enhanced teaching of the Portuguese language. Our teachings are based on the French curriculum, but with an added focus on arts and culture to ensure that pupils acquire new skills and grow in confidence.

L’École Trilingue builds on the success of its sister school in London, L’école bilingue, which has been teaching children aged 3 to 11 years since 2004. It has been rated Outstanding by the English inspection board, making it one of the top-rated schools in the country. At the end of their schooling at L’école bilingue, pupils have the knowledge, confidence and flexibility to join the best secondary schools in any educational system - English, American, French or international. L’École Trilingue shares its sister school's values, and aims to provide outstanding trilingual teaching to children of all backgrounds and nationalities.

We are a small school, with a focus on providing a safe and nurturing environment so that pupils can develop their confidence and autonomy. We support each and every pupil to reach their full potential, and work closely with parents to prepare them for primary school.

Children from all educational systems are welcome from the age of 2. We do not currently host Open Days; instead families are encouraged to get in touch and visit the school at their convenience.
