The International School of Ticino is a coeducational day school for students aged 3 to 18 years old. As the first and only accredited International Baccalaureate (IB), Primary Years Programme (PYP) school and authorized Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) school in Ticino, our school is a special and exciting place to be.

Our school first was established as a Kindergarten in 2014 to offer the local and international residents of Ticino an IB education. As of 2017 the International School of Ticino joined Inspired Education, the leading global premium group of schools that offer excellence in education to over 85,000 students worldwide. From exchange programmes to exclusive camps, to leadership conferences and shared learning experiences, Inspired offers a range of enriching global opportunities which give students a chance to travel, meet peers from other countries and become a part of a vibrant international community.

This partnership with a leading education group has laid the foundations for the standard of learning and community that we see today in our new campus. The design and build of our impressive new campus draw upon our foundations - the IB mission and the vision of school: Inspiring the Extraordinary.

At the International School of Ticino, we strive to turn our students into lifelong learners by placing students at the centre of everything we do. We achieve this through our school culture, which is rooted in the IB mission statement that states: 'International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect'.

We place much emphasis on accommodating to the individual needs of our students - we acknowledge the potential, character, and unique talent of every student. Our innovative pedagogy encourages our students to respect each other, to respect the environment, to communicate through active dialogue and to create the foundations of a collaborative society. We achieve this within a safe, nurturing environment with a strong sense of community at its heart.
