The Canadian School of Florence, formerly Blyth Academy of Florence, is a co-educational private international school for children aged 3 to 18 years. The school opened its first campus in Florence in 2017 with the Senior School, followed in 2021 by the Kindergarten and Elementary School, and later in 2022 by the Middle School.

The school follows the Canadian Ontario curriculum and hosts a unique mix of international students and local Italian students. Small class size strengthens the inclusive approach to education, allowing each student to develop their sense of excellence, trust, integrity, fairness, and compassion.

The Kindergarten (Pre-K to Senior K), Elementary (Grades 1 to 5), and Middle (Grades 6 to 8) school campuses are located in Fiesole, less than 2km from the Senior (Grades 9 to 12) school campus in Florence.

Our educators teach the globally-recognized Canadian Ontario curriculum, combining it at our Junior School with the Italian paritaria program, at the Kindergarten with the Reggio Emilia approach, and at our Middle and Senior Schools with other international educational best practices and standards to help prepare students for admission to the most prestigious universities all over the world. The Canadian School of Florence fosters an inclusive and nurturing environment, celebrating diversity and inspiring personal growth, enabling students to unlock their true potential and positively shape the world.

Teachers provide personalized teaching and individual care together with empathetic engagement, hands-on experiential teaching that enables curiosity, creativity, and innovative thinking.

Students enjoy engaging field trips and excursions to enhance curriculum outside the classroom.
