Agora Sant Cugat International School is ranked among Spain's top ten schools. It is a private school and a member of the Globeducate Group, which owns and operates more than 60 schools worldwide. Founded in 1989, it has become a prestigious private international school and its teaching methods are innovative with every student from Infant P0 to Baccalaureate receiving personalised attention.

Agora Sant Cugat is one of the few schools in Spain authorised to teach the International Baccalaureate Continuum at all levels.

The education is multilingual with English, Catalan and Spanish as the working languages and offers Mandarin Chinese, French and German. Teaching is mixed, plural and open and promotes respect for the beliefs of others in an atmosphere of dialogue and tolerance.

Location

The Agora Sant Cugat Campus is located in Sant Cugat and has four separate buildings. Agora Sant Cugat International School, from Infant P1 to Baccalaureate, is on the outskirts of the city in Can Sant Joan) with two buildings. Agora Patufet Infant School, from Infant P0 to Infant P5, is located in the centre of Sant Cugat, and Agora Pipo, from Infant P0 to Infant P2 is located in the area of Volpelleres. A School Bus Service is offered and all three buildings have train stations nearby on the FGC train line.

Agora Sant Cugat has purpose-built classrooms, science laboratories, libraries, dining rooms, kitchens and a sports area with a full-size football pitch, two tennis padel courts and four multipurpose courts. The school has the Auditorium Josep Carreras that seats 380 people and is an ideal place for music activities, conferences, theatre performances, debates and educational events.

Foreign languages

English, German, French and Chinese, alongside Spanish and Catalan, are taught as foreign languages for international students.

IB World School

Agora Sant Cugat International School teaches the Diploma Programme (DP) of the International Baccalaureate® (IB) since 2012, which together with the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP), makes the school one of the 20 schools in Spain authorised to teach what is known as the IB Continuum. The IBDP is taught in Spanish and English, and also offers a unique qualification in Cataluña that includes German as a language of teaching and learning. As an IB World School, it has created a learning environment that is pro-active, innovative and reflective and is constantly striving to improve. Its mission is to educate young people who can shape the world.
