Founded in 2003, Shenzhen College of International Education (SCIE) was the first high school to offer an international curriculum in Shenzhen, China. It delivers (I)GCSE, AS, AL and AP courses to both day and boarding students who have undergone a rigorous and highly selective admissions process. In 2023, the Year 10 acceptance rate was 15%.

SCIE students are well-rounded, compassionate and highly-driven. They learn and thrive in an international and challenging environment, developing social responsibility, creativity, independence and enthusiasm during their four years at the College. Academically, their passion for learning, commitment and resilience have brought them the highest accolades in external examinations. In the Cambridge Assessment International Education IGCSE, AS and AL summer exams 2022, 13 SCIE students received 'Top in the World', 28 'Top in China' and one student received 'Best Across'. Together with the 'High Achievement' awards, SCIE received 51 awards in total, outperforming all other CAIE schools in China.

Beyond the classroom, SCIE students have equally impressive achievements, especially in competitive events that challenge them to contribute to the wider community. In the 2022 S.T. Yau High School Science Award, SCIE students received Gold Award in Mathematics, Gold Award in Economics and one Bronze Award in Computer Science, with one of the students claiming the top Grand Award. Our iGEM team also won the Gold Medal in the 2022 competition. SCIE Humanities students are as outstanding, regularly presenting at international forums and receiving top awards from competitions and research projects, like China Thinks Big First Class Honors, FOBISIA Poetry 1st Place, and multiple awards for 2023 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).

SCIE graduates attend leading universities in the world. With 47 Oxbridge offers this year, the College has maintained its position as the school in China with the highest number of Oxbridge offers for 18 consecutive years. Along with top US university offers including from Ivy League, SCIE celebrates another exceptional cohort that will join the alumni network: one that has been contributing to our world in both arts and sciences.

2023 marks the 20th anniversary for the founding of SCIE, which marked another important milestone in SCIE's history as we continue striving to be the best.
