EF Academy International Boarding Schools opens a world of opportunities for high school students by providing them with a superior education, thorough university preparation and a future that knows no borders.

Our school is situated in a modern-day castle on a hill overlooking the sea and Torquay, a quiet town on England's sunny southwest coast. Our on-campus educational facilities include a beautiful art studio facing the sea, bright classrooms, modern science labs and comfortable student lounges. The community - made up of students, school staff and locals - has often been described as a family and our students feel very much at home in this encouraging, international learning environment.

At EF Academy Torbay, students follow the IGCSE program in their first two years of secondary school and can choose from the IB Diploma or A-Level program in their last two years of secondary school. Built into every course is an emphasis on multilingualism and intercultural exchange, which allows students to expand their worldviews as they progress through the rigorous and rewarding curricula. After-school activities, clubs and sports take place on campus but often see students take advantage of off-campus opportunities, such as horseback riding and sailing.

Instruction and guidance at EF Academy Torbay is personalized. Each student is assigned a pathway manager whose role is to monitor their academic progress and general well-being. A university guidance counselor works together with students to help them search for, select and apply to the schools that best suit them and their goals.

EF Academy Torbay students have been accepted to universities such as the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, St. Andrews University and Imperial College London. They have also received offers to study business, accounting and finance at schools highly ranked for those subjects.
