International School of Nice IGCSE student awarded highest mark in France for Biology​

The International School of Nice (ISN) is proud to announce that Sheryn Griffin, a Grade 11 student, has been honoured with the Outstanding Pearson Learner Award for her exceptional achievements in the IGCSE Biology 2022/2023 examinations.

In the annual celebration of academic excellence, Pearson Edexcel recognises learners globally who demonstrate outstanding performance in their exams. Sheryn has distinguished herself among the top echelon of learners worldwide, securing her place among the 2600 students from 700 schools in 82 countries eligible for the 2023 Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards.

The criteria for these awards are rigorous, encompassing The Highest Mark in the World, The Highest Mark in the Region, and The Highest Mark in the Country. Sheryn's outstanding accomplishment in securing the Highest Marks in France in Biology (May/June 2023) exemplifies her dedication and academic prowess. 

To celebrate Sheryn's remarkable accomplishment, she was presented with an Outstanding Pearson Learner Award certificate by Mr Rob Jamieson, Head of International Channels and Partnerships at Pearson.

Mr Jamieson stated: “Sheryn, her family and her teachers can all take enormous pride at her achievement in obtaining the highest mark in France of all this year’s International GCSE Biology candidates." 

Sheryn added: "I am absolutely stunned at the results that I have been able to achieve here at ISN. I've been supported and motivated by my friends, family, and teachers along this two year process. And I am finally able to say that hard work pays off!" 

In addition to celebrating Sheryn's outstanding achievement, ISN has also been recognised for the crucial role played by its dedicated teaching staff in the success of its students. Mr. Booth, Sheryn's Biology teacher, accepted the accolade on behalf of ISN.
