A young and new home for education, Montalvo International School, located in the picturesque town of Loulé, Portugal, offers a unique blend of traditional values and modern innovation in education. With a strong focus on providing a 21st-century learning experience, Montalvo is dedicated to nurturing well-rounded individuals prepared for the challenges of a globalized world while ensuring students are exposed to a cutting edge learning experience in and out of the classroom. We understand that even though the world is evolving and technology is becoming ever more important, there are values and ways of working that we believe should always have a place in educational institutions.

We aim to deliver bespoke education, thus our students benefit from one of our principles of small class sizes. With a maximum of 16 students per class, Montalvo ensures personalized attention and a supportive environment for each student. Our diverse teacher body represents a multitude of nationalities, fostering a rich multicultural atmosphere where students learn not just from books but from each other. Our supportive policies can be felt across the board where students that enrol to the school see themselves receiving benefits such as having their books provided, a set of 15 tuition lessons to be utilized and their exam fees covered for. At this stage, for iGCSEs and A Levels, students can pick from a selection of subjects such as, Psychology, Economics, Business, the 3 Core Sciences, Languages and Maths, among others. BTECs are set to be available from the start of 2025/2026 Academic year, providing a unique opportunity for a more vocational course where academics take a backstage in favor of practical experience.

Our upcoming center in Loulé is designed to be a hub of excellence for students in Years 10 to 13, focusing on iGCSEs and A Levels. With a capacity to accommodate approximately 128 students, it will not only be a place of learning but also an epicenter for academic excellence and personal growth.

In this building, we will have a small Lab dedicated to science classes and experiments in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Students will be able to benefit from a library for their studies and peaceful relaxation during their downtime. Additionally our café and bar area will be finalized before the next academic school start, allowing us to deliver cooked meals to the students as well as providing an open space for teachers and parents to sit and socialize.

Being an integral part of our community is an important aspect for the school and those around us. To that effect we have developed the Montalvo Partnership Program, MPP. This program allows students, teachers and parents to take advantage of discounted items from select establishments in the town. We have chosen to associate with local businesses that have a similar image, positioning and attention to value and excellence to ensure a coherent group of partners in our program. In addition to supporting local businesses and promoting interaction between the school and its community, the MPP encourages those involved to communicate and interact in Portuguese - a perfect opportunity to put into practice what's covered in the classroom.

Following its initial Pilot year during 2023/2024, Montalvo International School will officially open its doors to the community in September 2024. Enrolments are open and we are accepting admissions for Years 10 to 13. Rigorous demands and requirements are in place for all candidates, especially students enrolling to Year 11 and 13 considering they are transitioning mid-curriculum. Montalvo holds high academic standards and we have the responsibility to ensure our current students continue to progress in their respective disciplines with as few disruptions and delays as possible.

We invite you to explore our website, understand our values and ethos as well as our goals for the future. Choosing the right school is a pivotal decision, and we wish you the best in your journey. Montalvo International School stands ready to be part of that journey, offering an exceptional education experience.
