Colegio Altair is a private institution founded in 1995, whose purpose is to provide a co-educational, bilingual, modern, and holistic education. Altair is a member of Inspired, a leading global group of premium schools, with over 100 schools across five continents. A definitive statement of excellence in private education; Inspired is an independent school group designed to inspire students, to achieve their maximum potential in a nurturing, progressive academic environment.

At Colegio Altair we seek to meet our students' intellectual, physical, emotional, and social needs with a high-quality and personalized education. Our student community is enriched by multicultural families, which significantly influences our students' formation. Around 12% of the families are from different nationalities.

Our Academic Programme combines the Peruvian Ministry of Education requirements with the guidelines of the three levels of the International Baccalaureate: Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and Diploma Programme. The curriculum is holistic and balanced with various art courses, including Performing & Visual Arts, Drawing, and Music. A Talent program is offered from grades 3 to 6.

Colegio Altair offers a wide range of afterschool activities. These include sports such as basketball, football, volleyball; cultural activities such as MUN and debate; and musical activities such as choir, big band, wooden, metal and string instruments among others. MUN and Debate are very popular after school activities and curricular subjects from Grades 6 to 11. The primary skill developed with these two programs is the ability to speak in public effectively. They also promote a high level of analysis, synthesis, supporting arguments, investigation, negotiation and teamwork.

Colegio Altair has an Accreditation Programme that accounts for credits earned based on high school students' participation in social, sports, and/or cultural activities. It aims to encourage our students’ involvement in those activities that support soft skills development, allowing them to develop a comprehensive profile. Students develop awareness and social responsibility through their participation in our community. Learning by experience, they become aware of the importance of social work to create constant and sustainable development. Students go to different communities to work with and for them during school hours and work on an action plan that is executed proactively.

Colegio Altair has a personalized Counselling Programme for students from grades 9 to 11 and Diploma. Students are encouraged and closely oriented to reflect upon their skills, interests, and preferences to identify what national and international universities offer regarding the careers that match their profile.
